Book a Truck
& Driver

Driving Agency | CPC courses Dublin

Gencat run a small fleet of vehicles specialising in White glove service and the delivery of dangerous goods.

Book a truck & Driver

The aim of having a white glove service was to allow people wishing to gain experience driving or people wishing to take up the role of driver the opportunity of working at achieving their goal while being paid.

We operate two-man crews.

These crews are made up of either an experienced driver with the necessary training to move appliances or fragile equipment into houses or business premises and a trainee driver with installing training. The other arrangement is an experienced installer with driving experience along with a trained installer who has little driving experience.

This work was not without its challenges and working across the threshold is a whole different aspect in logistics. We have been very fortunate that we got into something that we knew nothing about because had we known what we were letting ourselves in for we would not have gone there.

Fortunately, we have developed a model for ourselves that works very well. We can train both drivers and installer in a role that requires a lot of attention to detail.

We are providing delivery and installation services to leading manufacturers and retailers.

The fleet we have is equipped with a range of devices that we use to train, coach and test out telematic devices from both original and OEM providers. We have undertaken run two systems in vehicles to measure their accuracy. Currently we are about to test a telematics system that we had asked for specific data to be retrieved from the CanBus. This is exciting for us because if we can get his data we can offer two additional performance indicator which will assist with coaching. Another interesting development is our involvement with a group of European partners developing a device to identify driver behaviour using AI.

If you are looking for a Whiter Glove service to deliver and install a household appliance a vending machine or equipment for a shop, Gencat would be pleased to provide you with a quality and efficient service.

a Driver

Driving Agency | CPC courses Dublin

We can take prospective drivers on to the Agency books for our clients for the first three months. This probationary period will give a good indication if the driver and client are a good fit. If the client is happy with the performance and the fit of the driver for the role, then the Client take the driver onto their books.

Gencat can assist with induction training. Our training platform is used to familiarise drivers with specific types of vehicles or equipment. This assists the driver in getting settled into a new position. We have found this top be a very valuable tool in reducing the risks of an accident when taking on a recruit.  It is also useful in the pre-employment prior to driving assessment that the driver can cover a module that will prepares them for the assessment. This allows drivers to show their true ability at a driving assessment as they will be familiar with the vehicle controls, the pre-trip inspection and tachograph controls.
