Covid 19 Specialist Home Delivery Update

At Gencat, we are doing everything possible to support home deliveries of big and bulky items. As a specialised big and bulky home delivery crew we are taking all the necessary steps to ensure the safety of our crews and customers. Extension to Expiry Dates for CPC Cards

Due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 crisis, professional bus and truck drivers may encounter some difficulty in undertaking their annual CPC training at the current time. In order to ensure a continuous flow of goods within the EU, drivers with valid Irish Driver CPC cards that are due to expire during the current Covid 19 outbreak will be granted an extension of a maximum of six months up to the 26th September 2020.   It is important to note that no new or replacement cards will be issued with the new temporary expiry date.  Drivers will then be required [...]

Driver CPC Training Update

We are scheduling Driver CPC Courses commencing week commencing Monday the 8th of June, We may start sooner if the HSE change their guidelines. Drivers can be assured that Gencat will strictly follow the HSE Covid-19 guidelines. We are limiting class sizes to a maximum of 12 drivers per class. This ensures that social distancing of 2 meters can be observed. Training rooms will be sanitised before and after each training session. ADR Training Courses

Gencat provide Training for ADR drivers. Exams can now be taken on line at approved examination centres in Maynooth, Naas, Galway and Cork. The Online ADR Basic Exam consists of a total of 36 multiple choice questions. The Paper is divided into three (3) sections, A, B and C.
